Terms of use

The agreement between you and ZAKIT when you use the site, the widget or the API.

Last updated 13 September 2026

1. Who provides ZAKIT

ZAKIT is an independent stain rescue platform operated by Luniva Science. Using the site, the embedded widget or the API means you accept these terms.

2. Guidance, not a guarantee

ZAKIT gives general stain and fabric guidance. It cannot inspect your item, test its dye or know its history. Every plan is a suggestion, not a professional assessment, and results vary with fibre, dye, finish, age and what has already been tried.

3. Your responsibilities

Always follow the item's care label, which takes priority over anything ZAKIT says. Patch test on a hidden area before treating a visible one. Never mix cleaning products, and follow the safety instructions on every product you use. Stop immediately if you see dye transfer, lightening or a change in texture. For valuable, antique, leather, suede, silk or tailored items, use a specialist cleaner.

4. Neutral recommendations

ZAKIT recommends a method, a product type or a specialist on the basis of fit. Where a commercial relationship exists with a named service, it never changes the recommendation, and such a service appears only as one option among suitable ones.

5. Acceptable use

Use ZAKIT lawfully. Do not attempt to disrupt the service, scrape it at scale, bypass rate limits or access it by anything other than the published interfaces, and do not upload content you have no right to share.

6. Widget and API

Businesses may embed the widget and call the API under a separate partner arrangement. Access may require an API key, is subject to fair-use limits, and may be suspended for misuse. Plans returned through the API must be shown to end users as guidance, unaltered in substance, and must not be presented as the partner's own professional assessment. See the business page for how embedding works.

7. Partner surfaces

Where ZAKIT appears inside another company's site or app, these terms cover the ZAKIT guidance itself. That company's terms cover their own service, pricing and any work they carry out on your item.

8. Intellectual property

The ZAKIT name, wordmark, interface and written guidance belong to us. You may follow a plan and share it for personal use; you may not republish the content or reuse the brand commercially without permission.

9. Availability

ZAKIT is provided as-is and as-available. Features may change and the service may be interrupted for maintenance or reasons outside our control.

10. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for damage to items treated using ZAKIT guidance, nor for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. Nothing here affects the statutory rights of consumers.

11. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms; the date at the top of this page changes when we do. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.

12. Contact

Questions about these terms can be sent using the enquiry form on the business page. How we handle your information is set out in our privacy policy.
