How to remove grass stains
Chlorophyll and plant pigment. Enzyme detergent plus time does most of the work.
Method
- 1
Brush dry soil
Let any mud dry and brush it off before adding water.
- 2
Pre-treat
Work enzyme detergent into the fibres and leave 30 minutes.
- 3
Wash
Wash at the highest temperature the label allows.
- 4
Repeat if faint
Repeat rather than escalating to bleach on coloured items.
What makes it worse
- Do not add water to wet mud before removing solids
- Do not use enzymes on wool or silk
