How to remove chocolate stains

Fat plus pigment plus milk protein. Cool first, then degrease.

Method

1. 1

   Harden and scrape

   Chill the area, then lift the solids off with a blunt edge.

   Cold rinse

   Rinse from the reverse with cold water.

3. 3

   Pre-treat

   Apply enzyme detergent and leave 20 minutes.

4. 4

   Wash

   Wash at the warmest temperature the label allows.

What makes it worse

• Do not start with hot water
• Do not dry before the shadow has gone
